Riverboat gambling is one of the best activities leisure
in Missouri. Riverboat gambling has become a legal
activity in Missouri since 1994, when the state voters
had put forth an appeal against the government. Now
there is no limit for the number of riverboat gambling
license that are given by the states gambling commission
for the boats, which remain dockside. The gambling
cruises are not allowed to sail and hence, almost all
the casinos are built on a barge, which gives them the
appearance of a land-based casino building rather than a
riverboat.
When Missouri had first begun operating riverboats
gambling they conducted two hour gaming sessions with
they found a $500 loss limit for each session. Now they
have started a new process for gambling. When you first
enter a casino you must present an ID to receive slot
club card, which will be used to track your chip, and
the slots you purchase. Once you have purchased chips
worth $500 you are not allowed to buy anymore until the
next two hours. But there is no limit for winning.
Argosy Casino
This casino is in Kansas City and is open from 8am to
5pm from Sunday to Thursday and 24 hours open on Friday
and Saturday. This riverboat casino has 3 comfortable
fine dining which feature bear bars snakes counter and
dining for three times a day. Gambling options in the
casino include 1100 slot machines, including progressive
slots. There are 34 gaming tables from which 22 are
blackjack tables, 4 craps tables, 6 poker tables, 2
roulette tables and various specialty tables. There are
also additionally 160 video gambling machines for games
like poker, keno and blackjack. Battings in the casino
can be made up to $500.
Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino and Hotel
This is a docked
riverboat casino, which is nearly 60,000 sq ft and
also a hotel. The casino is open 8 a.m. to 5 a.m. from
Monday to Friday and 24 hours open on weekends. The
casino features four restaurants like Café Andreotti,
The Fresh Market Buffet, the Range (steak and seafood)
and the winning streak. The Harrah’s Hotel have 200
rooms and the prices range upward from $99 per night
with discounts available for casino players. The
enjoyments for the gamblers or the visitors include a
swimming pool, health club, computer hookups, meeting
facilities and much more. Visitors coming to gamble have
multiple choices to choose from. The casino provides
over 2100 slot machines, progressive video poker, video
blackjack or blackjack table, which are over 34 tables.
They also feature games like poker, craps, roulette,
baccarat and several other table games.
