Earlier poker game was confine with casino’s and home
only. But today people can play poker gambling by online
also. Introduction of video poker make revolutionary
change in poker gambling. Today through internet people
can play poker gambling online also. But it is to be
noted that online poker in not at all video poker.
Online Poker:
When a gambler playing online that means he is connected
to a game server via internet. Every online poker game
has at least two real people, while most have eight to
ten. In online poker though gambler is playing with a
site but he can’t make a bet with the site. He bets with
the other people playing poker through that site. In the
case of online poker, the house is a neutral third
party.
Play money and Real money:
Gambling online poker generally play for play money or
real money. When gambler play for play money means he is
just playing for play chips or free chips. This is just
a promotional kind of game where gambler looses nothing.
But when gambler play for real money that means he is
taking risk. Here if he lost then he must be loosing his
money. Before playing real money game gambler has to
deposited money to the site.
Legal issue:
The legal situation for online poker gambling still in
the state of confusion everywhere in the world. The
whole legal issue is ambiguous both in state and federal
level of USA. Most of the cardroom sites are operated
from the Caribbean, Central America or the Mohawk
Territory of Kahnawake in Canada. Existing laws tend to
target illegal gambling operators rather than the
players, but since the online operators are out of reach
there is political pressure to modify this approach. In
the U.S., several federal bills have been proposed that
regulate or forbid online wagers. On the other hand, in
the U.K. the government has been moving in the direction
of legalization and regulation.
Safeness:
Though online poker
become a very popular gambling game yet there are so
many confusion regarding the player’s safety. In online
gambling players are not sure that whether they get back
their money or not. In online poker random shuffling is
properly maintained or not is another big question.
Therefore online poker is not at all safe gambling for
the gambler.
