Gambling statistics show that USA and Canada alone are home to casinos and gambling houses that are frequented by people from all around the world. That the gambling industry has spawned many other smaller sources of earnings is no wonder.

Although one is not sure as to how much money is invested in gambling every year, gambling statistics reveal that Canada alone sees about 20 billion to 27 billion dollars being invested in the gambling industry. These figures show that gambling is indeed a multi-billion dollar industry. But these figures do not include many forms of gambling and betting revenues that go unaccounted for. This kind of money is not just from people in Canada or the USA but also from visitors around the world. The Internet has seen the rise in online betting and gambling and statistics on these figures reveal even more money being invested online and the trend is definitely on the increase.

The government gets a paid fee from the individual state governments who in turn get their revenue from the organizations that manage gambling and lottery corporations. The revenue that is left over after prizes and expenses including administrative and operational costs is used for different purposes. Statistics have brought out the fact that the government puts the revenue from the gambling industry to good use by using it for charities, tourism and even research organizations in search of funding.

Online gambling is also gaining popularity and easy ways of making more money has definitely seen an increasing trend from people all around the world. Statistics prove that gambling is definitely on the rise in the last few decades and is finding more patrons everywhere.
