Gambling for Charity

by Jerry "Jet" Whittaker
March 25, 2006

What is a charity gambling?

There are many types of gambling and also many people play gambling the gambling is also used for charity. When the gambling is done for charity it is called the charity gambling. It is a noble work because a percentage of the money earned by the gamblers is donated to the charitable institutions. Charity gambling is the gambling where a pert of the profits made by the gambling games such as bingo, roullette, lotto, slot-machines, etc. are overseen by a charity or group of charities. The profits made by the venture go to the charity or group of charities, and not to a municipality or private casino. Sometimes this event is organized occurs as a one time event during a Charity Ball or such type party. In other cases, Charity interests maintain ongoing gambling concerns.

Where to play the charity gambling:

There are many websites on which Charity Gambling is available at every time of the week, and which report various percentages of the profits being donated to various charities. And also some of the casinos also invite sometimes the charity gambling. You can also go and join the casino whenever it is invited if you are a casual gambler than you can have fun and also the charity. There is also the charity gambling invited so that the people should come and gamble and so the popularity of the gambling would be increased. If you are an occasional gambler you should go and play it in charity because it is a noble work.

Is it right to raise fund from gambling which is also not ethical:

There is debate that is it ethical to raise fund from the gambling which is also a sin according to many religions. But according to many authors it is perfectly ethical because gambling is not a sin and also it is completely legal according to the laws so there is no harm in using the gambling as a way of charity. Gambling is a attractive source of money so why not using it for charitable purpose after all the gambling institutions are not illegal and also running without any interference of the government. It would be much more practical and useful that the money should be raised for the non-profit groups, universities, charities and foundations by the gambling as the government uses it for raising the revenue.
