Poker Mathematics:

Whatever game you play, of course, the game relates to the practical life. Or the game consists of some practical aspects. For example, a chess player can be more expert to solve any logical questions. Or the chess also represents the whole war aspects. Poker player, like chess player, can be expert in mathematics. It is because every poker player understands that there is mathematics in the game.

Actually, the poker game and mathematics, both are different issue. However, they are interrelated too. Poker is game of cards. It is used for entertainment while Mathematics is a subject that is used in practical life to solve counting and other related problems. But when the best player plays game he/she uses mathematics to win the game. And best poker player can also solve the most difficult problems of mathematics.

How the best player can solve the mathematical problem? This is one the common question can be raised in anybody’s mind. No doubt! Poker player use chips in the game as the token of money. It is very difficult to calculate the massive amounts in the mathematics. So you have to use algorithms and other methods. In the poker, players use chips. They have their own fixed value. Sometimes you invest so many different types of chips that you may unable to count their value. At this time you use specific method. Player, just, riffles massive chips and divides them into the group according to colors and price. Generally, chips are divided into tow categories, and then count the value. If you start from the high rank where there are tow chips, which have same color. In the end, you return to a condition where started counting. The question is how you return on the same chips that you started counting? How many times you will have to count the chips and which chips for the final condition.

It’s very simple method, and players know all about it. As you know that chips have their own fixed value, with four piles of chips it takes four goes and with three chips it takes three goes. However, with seven piles of chips it takes only four goes and even with eight chips it takes six four goes.  When you count with nine chips, you will back on the chips where you started the counting. And keep there is no fix, easily grasped pattern about it.

When you think it mathematically you will see that there are tow basic logarithms, which you use for counting. And the same kind of logarithm is used in mathematics. Many people use the game to solve problems. You follow different methods when you play the game. And the methods help you to solve mathematical questions easily. When a player solves any difficult problem he/she will get the best money profit. It is like a business. As you problem you will get more money. Playing poker game increases you reasoning power, reading face or movements. For example, by using mathematics you can read the chances of hands quickly and then you can realize what type of hand you have to play. This is another use of using mathematics in the poker game.

In this way, there is close relation between poker game and mathematics.
