Bally Technologies Game Approved

Bally Technologies, Inc. announced today that its innovative new multi-level progressive video slot game, Hot Shot Progressive, has received Nevada, Mississippi, Ontario, Michigan and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) regulatory approvals and that contracted advance orders for this premium product have reached an all-time high for the Company's Gaming Operations division.

Bally also announced its advanced S9000 reel-spinning slot machine has received regulatory approval in Nevada, Mississippi, Michigan and by GLI, and that its new wide-screen CineVision(TM) video cabinet has received regulatory approval in Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi, Michigan, Ontario and by GLI.

S9000 -- in a five-reel, multi-line, multi-coin configuration -- and CineVision installations are underway in multiple jurisdictions. More than 40 ALPHA OS(TM) video titles are approved in various jurisdictions for CineVision.

Hot Shot Progressive initially went live at Greektown Casino in Detroit prior to the end of 2005 and now has gone live at a variety of casinos in Las Vegas, California, New York and Connecticut.

"We are excited that Greektown Casino was the first in the country to have Bally's new Hot Shot game," said Jack McGinty, Vice President of Slots at Greektown. "It's a unique concept that is different from other multi-level progressives. Our players have certainly responded to the game and Hot Shot is yet another example of a game that makes our slot floor so exciting. They went live right before Christmas and we have been thrilled with their performance so far."

"Hot Shot is off to a very good start and I'm also pleased to report games on CineVision and S9000 are also performing very strongly in early placements," said Richard Haddrill, CEO of Bally Technologies. "Rarely in Bally's long history has a convergence of quality products been approved and deployed in such a short period of time and we're pleased that our customers are responding so enthusiastically."

With a history dating back to 1932, Las Vegas-based Bally Technologies designs, manufactures, operates and distributes advanced gaming devices, systems and technology solutions worldwide. Bally's product line includes reel-spinning slot machines, video slots, wide-area progressives and Class II, lottery and central determination games and platforms. As the world's No. 1 gaming systems company, Bally also offers an array of casino management, slot accounting, bonusing, cashless and table management solutions. The Company also owns and operates Rainbow Casino in Vicksburg, Miss.
