NFL stands for the abbreviated form of the National Football League. Formed in the year 1920, as the American Professional Football Association, the NFL adopted its present name in 1922. It is the largest professional American football league, consisting of thirty-two teams from American cities and regions. All the teams of the league are divided into two into two conferences. They are the AFC or American Football Conference or the NFC or National Football Conference. The two conferences are further sub divided into four divisions that consists of four teams namely the East, West, North and the South. Generally each of the teams plays sixteen games over a period of seventeen weeks during the leagues regular sessions that starts from September till January. Read further...
