<p class="mobile-post">Hot on the heels of his sixth place finish at the North American Poker
Championships in Niagara Falls, Montreal-born, Ottawa native, Marc "Myst"
Karam has won an astonishing 300,000 AUD  by placing sixth out of a field of
747 players in the southern hemisphere's single largest Poker Tournament,
The Aussie Millions. This victory marks the third televised final table
appearance by the 26 year old and puts his major tournament winnings at
about three-quarters of a million
dollars. Since turning pro a little over a year ago, Karam has established
the best professional tournament record of any Canadian poker player still
living
in Canada. When asked if he intends to follow in the footsteps of other
Canadian greats like Daniel Negreanu or Gavin Smith and move to Las Vegas,
Marc replies "I'm shopping for my dream home in Ottawa right now so I don't
see myself leaving any time soon". Karam's astounding success has garnered
him the attention of both the international and local poker media. He will
be featured on the cover of February's issue of Canadian Poker Player
magazine and has appeared in video interviews on pokerwire.com.  Like many
big name poker pros, Karam has already signed a sponsorship deal with an
online poker site. Eurolinx Poker decided to back the young  up-and-comer
after he captured a fourth place victory in the 2006 European Poker Tour
Grande Finale in Monte Carlo. Thanks to his deal with Eurolinx, Karam is
able to travel the world competing in the largest poker tournaments with the
