As I am watching a table & gathering chip counts, a random player stumbles over and says "can you come here for a second?" At first I think he is mistaking me for a floor person (hard to do, when I am wearing a white t-shirt). Jean-Robert Bellande procedes to tell me a rather interesting hand. Four players limp in for 200, including Bellande on the button. He held A J . The flop came Jx5 8 . Everyone checked to Bellande, who made a pot-sized 800 chip bet. Only Vinny Vinh called from out of position. The turn was the A , giving Bellande top two & a jack high flush draw. Vinh checked, and Bellande checked. Before the dealer burned the next card, Vinh protested to the dealer, stating he never made an action. Bellande said he felt Vinny was steaming from a pot he lost a few hands before, so when he bet 2,000, Bellande called the bet. The river was an offsuit ten, and Vinny bet out 4,600. Bellande went into the think tank and finally made the call. Vinny showed 7 7 . Bellande's aces up took down a hefty pot. He's now sitting on about 27k.

Tmay420 was giving me his chip count when I noticed Peter Feldman in the three seat. I leaned in and said "Hey, that's Feldman in the 3-hole, right?" Tim replied, "Yes, but don't tell him who I am, he doesn't know yet!" How could I ruin his edge for him?
