Over the past few weeks we've mentioned a few of the parties, special events and contests going on in Las Vegas during the football season. This week we have even more. Held in the legendary Hilton Theater on 11 giant screens with a $10,000 weekly drawing, and food and drink specials every Sunday, the Las Vegas Hilton is "Football Central." Fans can catch each Sunday's action from any of the theater's more than 1,100 comfortable seats and the best viewing of the weekly season games from the theater's 11 giant screens. The featured games are shown on a 15' X 20' HDTV with state-of-the-art theater sound. Food and drink specials include $1 hot dogs and draft beer. Football Central also features the Miller Girls. Prizes from Miller include "Beer for a Year," monthly Pro Bowl Ticket giveaways including round trip airfare to Hawaii and hotel accommodations, and $250 Mastercard gift cards given away weekly. The Hilton is sponsoring a $10,000 weekly cash giveaway all season long, with the drawing at 5:00 p.m. every Sunday. Five winners share $10,000 each week with first place, $3,500; second place, $2,500; third place, $2,000; fourth place, $1,500; and fifth place, $500. Participants can earn game cards to enter the drawings by playing their favorite slots, table games, live poker, pari-mutuel action or even making parlay card wagers (before 9:00 a.m. each Sunday) in the SuperBook. Game cards include the pro games for each Sunday. Participants pick their choices for all of the their hopefully winning teams and then deposit their game cards in the drum by 10:00 a.m. each Sunday to be eligible for that Sunday's 5:00 p.m. drawing. Five game cards are chosen each Sunday to share the $10,000. The highest cash prize goes to the game card with the most winning teams chosen. The Cannery Hotel & Casino in North Las Vegas hosts Monday Night Football (MNF) parties from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. every week throughout the season in the lounge offering $5.00 buckets of Bud or Bud Light, jersey drawings, and 25c wings and $1 hotdogs. The Galaxy Theatres located inside the hotel, presents televised football in high definition during the 2006-2007 season on Monday nights. The games are projected via DLP Cinema technology in Galaxy's largest auditorium that features a 60-foot screen and seating for more than 500 people. The event begins each Monday at 4:00 p.m. with host, Ball Park Franks.
Admission is complimentary and seating is general admission. Each week, the Cannery Referee Girls will be visiting the auditorium serving up ice-cold beverages and food specials including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and more. The radio station will be offering prizes including show tickets, as well as a weekly drawing for a trip to either San Diego or Phoenix that includes airfare and hotel accommodations. In addition guests can place wagers at the Cannery's new Race & Sports Book, located adjacent to Galaxy Theatres.
