<p class="mobile-post">Playwize PLC said that the launch of its Pokerwize product is focused on the
UK and European markets, following yesterday's passing by the United States
Congress of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. The new
proposals would make it illegal for banks and credit card companies to
settle payments to online gambling sites. Playwize said that Pokerwize has
not been actively marketed in the USA and, in the light of forthcoming
legislation, the company does not envisage doing so. It said that it
believes that there is considerable scope for growth within the European
market.</p>
