<p class="mobile-post">William Hill Plc, the second- largest U.K. bookmaker, said it has acted to
stop taking online poker and casino bets from American customers until the
scope of a U.S. crackdown on Internet gambling has become clearer. Measures
have been put in place already to prevent U.S. gamblers from placing online
sports bets, the London-based company said today in a Regulatory News
Service statement. Managers of British Web bookmakers Sportingbet Plc and
Betonsports Plc have been arrested in the U.S. this year.</p>
