Station Casino Recognized by Fortune Magazine

Station Casinos, Inc. has been recognized by FORTUNE magazine as one of its "100 Best Companies to Work for 2006," and is the only Nevada-based company or gaming corporation to be selected for this prestigious honor. This is the second year in a row in which the Company has been selected by FORTUNE as one of the best companies to work for. Ranked 55th overall, Station Casinos was ranked higher than such well-respected companies as Fed Ex, Ernst & Young, Nike and Yahoo.

Further enhancing the honor of being chosen as one of the best companies to work for was that the Company:

-Recognized among the most diverse companies on the list with minorities making up 48% of its U.S. workforce;

-Ranked 14th out of 38 large-sized companies;

-Placed 55th out of the top 100 companies; and

-Received recognition for its "Dream Campaign," a program designed to determine the dreams of its team members and how the Company can help make those dreams come true. In response to finding out that the dream of a number of its team members was to become a U.S. citizen, the Company implemented free English as a second language courses, set up a 24-hour bilingual hotline and organized citizenship clinics.

"One of the core principles that my brother and I learned from our father was to treat all team members as we would want to be treated," said Frank Fertitta III, Station's chairman and CEO.

"Our Company's success is based on our team-members' work ethic, enthusiasm and commitment to providing our guests with 'Beyond the Best' service," said Valerie Murzl, Station's vice president of human resources. "That is why we are committed to creating the best possible work environment, corporate culture and training and benefits programs for our nearly 12,000 team members," continued Murzl. The Company demonstrated this philosophy most recently when it hosted job fairs for people left homeless and unemployed as a result of Hurricane Katrina's devastation. More than 100 New Orleans and Mississippi evacuees who relocated to Las Vegas were by placed in jobs throughout the Company in addition to receiving clothing and new housing supplies to ease their transition into the community.

According to FORTUNE magazine, "The 100 Best Companies to Work For" list is compiled for FORTUNE by Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz of the Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco, based on two criteria: an evaluation of the policies and culture of each company, and the opinions of the company's employees. The latter is given more weight; two-thirds of the total score comes from employee responses to a 57-question survey which goes to a minimum of 400 randomly selected employees from each company. More than 100,000 employees from 466 companies participated in the survey this year, up from 356 candidate companies last year. It asks about things such as attitudes towards management, job satisfaction and camaraderie within the organization. The remaining one-third of the score is based on an evaluation of each company's demographic makeup, pay and benefits programs and culture. Companies are scored in four areas: credibility in its communication to employees, respect for career opportunities and benefits, fairness in compensation and diversity and pride and camaraderie in the company's philanthropy and celebrations.

Remember, you can beat the odds, but you can't beat the percentages.
